This past June, Dr. Bruce Hindmarsh spent two intensive weeks teaching, preaching, and connecting with Christian leaders and Regent alumni in Singapore. Dr. Hindmarsh stayed with Regent alumnus Stanley Tay, and was based at St. John’s and St. Margarets (SJSM), a leading evangelical Anglican church where several Regent alumni are members and serve. He taught two well attended courses for the Biblical Graduate School of Theology (BGST), one on C.S. Lewis and the Christian Life, and the other on Traditions and Practices of Prayer. He also gave two public lectures that drew over 500 people in total, and preached on the final Sunday at SJSM. And as if that wasn’t enough to keep him busy, he also organized an alumni reunion, and found time to enjoy fellowship with leading Singaporean Christian leaders such as Rennis Ponniah, the Anglican Bishop of Singapore, and Dr. Quek Swee Hwa, the founding principal of BGST.
