"Jerusalem" is a semi-abstract representation and study in contrasts of one section of the street Via Dolorosa. The painting depicts the tension and volatility of daily city life juxtaposed against the backdrop of ancient stones and long history of the Old City. "Jerusalem" reflects the dynamic intensity and life force of the place. Portraying the scene with bold colour is meant to relieve the feeling of heaviness in the locale.
